The Metric show last night was amazing. I nearly pissed myself with excitement. Emily Haines has so much confidence, it drives me crazy. They were just there to play and rock out as she barely said anything to the crowd. A thanks here or there, and John heard her say something about "I know you, Portland." It had to have been sold out, thank God we were near the front. I think she saw me...
They didn't have a set list, so this is pretty much from memory. Also, they played 2 songs I'd never heard before.
Empty, Glass Ceiling, Combat Baby, Patriarch on a Vespa, The List, Hustle Rose, Succexy, Monster Hospital, Poster of a Girl, Calculation (Theme) and for the encore played a kick ass version of Dead Disco and finally, Love is a Place. I'm probably leaving a couple of songs out b/c the set seemed longer than that. It was fucking brilliant!
