Really, I've just been waiting forever to use this pic. So, I did yet another thing that I said I'd never do. I obtained Jenny's solo album illegally as it leaked last week. Of course I didn't download it myself, but that's mainly b/c I have no clue how to use p2p filesharing. Anyway, that's splitting hairs. I wanted to wait until January for the official release, but fuck anticipation.
And it's so good. It's like warm cocoa on these winter nights. Spiked cocoa. I'm really digging the songs that I hadn't heard already like The Charging Sky and The Traveling Wilburys cover of Handle with Care. She nailed that one. And one of my favorite lyrics is still "I'm in love with illusions, so saw me in half/I'm in love with illusions so pull another rabbit out of your hat."
Fucking brilliant! A little soul, a little country, all Jenny. A few weird outfits aside, she can do no wrong. Thanks to Heem for taking the risk of potential lawsuit by some record company fatcat. Sacrifices must be made for the sake of great music. And it's not like I'm not going to buy the album when it comes out.
