M to the ETRIC

So excited for tonight's show at the Plug! I've been waiting at least 3 months for this. It's my first time seeing Metric and word on the street (or on the Doug Fir email) is that this show will probably sell out. After last week's craziness at Okkervil River, I'm not sure that I'm fully prepared to brave the crowd to dance my ass off. It's pretty much a moral imperative though. And it's not like OR is really dancey, I just had to get as far away from the crowd and the bar as possible. Damn anxiety.

It'll probably be too late to post after the show. Perhaps manana. I really hope they sing "The Police and the Private," "Poster of a Girl," "Wet Blanket" and "The List" at the very least.

October run-down...

Yay for baseball, especially when it's on network tv. Hopefully it pissed off some assholes who missed their precious reality shows because of it. (Sorry Em, you're totally NOT an asshole! I meant those other people. Anyway, you like baseball.)

And speaking of tv...Wonderfalls. Having this tiny 13-episode series has brought much joy to my life this past month.

Best moment? Karaoking "Beast of Burden" at the E Room on Halloween weekend. And kissing the Kissing Booth. Wow.

Yea, I hope a few reality TV addicts had a heart-attack when they saw baseball on during THEIR show's time slot.

Beautiful.
