Not that I really care, because all the mainstream nominations were steaming piles of shite. However, in the Best "Alternative" Album category are these fine folk:

The White Stripes Get Behind Me Satan
Now, I just want to say that Franz or Stripes will probably win b/c they are the most popular, heard-of bands in the competition. And that's the Grammy's for you. But fucking Arcade Fire's Funeral was the BEST album of the year and if it loses out to Plans, I'll eat my hat. (Well, not really. See, it's an expression...) Not that I don't love DCFC, but Plans was their weakest effort to date. That's saying a lot considering that Transatlanticsm had a few clunkers in there. I.E. We Looked Like Giants and The New Year. Ok, rambling now. I guess we'll all be waiting in anticipation of the lame ass awards show.

We're now in between the time that Lennon was shot (10:50pm) and time of death (11:15pm). I'm pissed that the only Beatles stuff I have on my computer is early stuff. Too late to rip it on there now. Their cover of Money (That's What I Want) rings so true today. And John sings the hell out of it.
All we are saying is give peace a chance.
